J-sus this is asinine!

I hate this bastard anyway, but this has got to be a new low even for him.

So, the people who suffered the hurricane were just.... lazy? And they deserved what they got? And "let this be a lesson" to all high school students everywhere? That if you work hard and are "honest" you will get ahead and not be the victim of a hurricane?

Right.

I was so outraged when I read this over my morning coffee yesterday I ranted for about 10 minutes and I felt like my head was going to explode. This country becomes more like a surreal bad dream every minute.

Given the fact that all those folks lost EVERYTHING in the hurricane, despite their personal incomes, of course none of them were affluent. It's hard to be affluent when you have NOTHING to your name. There's some serious socio-economic racism going on with him.

And GAH! his logic. It's all sophistry for morons!!

I know, like Bill himself would be looking all coiffed if he was staying in the superdome after surviving a hurricane? What an ass.

The thing that scares me is the people who love him. He, himself, if just trying to be sensational and make money and grab attention: good or bad. It's horrible, but somewhat understandable. It's the MORONS. The morons who think he's telling the "truth" without the "spin". Those are the people who upset me the most.

Ah, Bill. You can always count on him to say something STONE COLD CRAZY.

Remember, Bill...it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle...

I know what you mean about O'Reilly. I can't believe that people sit around listening to him/Savage/ Limbaugh & then try to act like they have the "facts" on anything. That is the type of person whe bugs me the most.

What a jack-hole! I have no love (or like) for him either. Even if we were to pretend that his intentions were pure, he gives no thought to the kids who are already trapped (or feeling trapped) in poverty. Sending them this message would just tell them "this is what will happen to you, and America couldn't care less".

And anyone from that area who wasn't "affluent" enough to also own properties outside the storm area is now poor. To act like it was somehow their fault because they didn't educate themselves enough (whatever the hell *that* means) is pathetically ignorant.

I could keep going, but I'll stop now. You're a wonderful voice of reason!

I can relate completely, Kate! Look at it as a media spin to try to puff up the image of the administration, and not deal with the real issues, i.e. why the levees were not fixed, and why the response was so slow.

Just my humble two cents.
Be well.

Wish Bill would take some "personal responsibility" for his own words and actions.
