You know what's so funny? I am so used to seeing the ferns now, that I don't really even see them anymore. They're just so abundant here in the NW that my eye tends to glide past them to see the "interesting" stuff instead. They are neat though, hinting at the earth's past in the time of the dinosaurs.

I've never seen fern in it's natural state - too cool!
