Just finished a very intense workshop with a group of very different people from my workplace - thrown together and asked to work as a team. It was very hard and draining work but we are finally done, Thank God!

I also met so many creative people from around the country who I felt shared my vision of what education can and should be. I wish I worked with them instead! :-)

I'm sick of being told not to be too idealistic, not to aim too high, to have "small, acheivable goals", to back off, to slow down, to be realistic, etc. While others at the workshop were thinking beyond the limitations and making it work at their colleges. It's like being a horse with a bit always in my mouth, pulled up short and watching other horses RUN.

I have a lot to think about when I get back.

Anyway, I can't write much at the moment as I'm staying with a friend for a few days... but I'll be back soon...
